Participants arrive after facing profound challenges, whether escaping domestic violence, surviving human trafficking, or struggling with mental health or substance use issues. While many shelters offer only temporary relief, Grandma’s House of Hope provides a holistic, integrated approach that addresses every aspect of a person’s well-being.

From the first moment, intake coordinators like Belia and Alivia greet participants with compassion and dignity, guiding them through the critical first steps toward stability. Each individual receives trauma-informed care, personalized case management, and access to mental health and substance use recovery programs, ensuring that their emotional, physical, and social needs are met. Participants are supported in building life skills, seeking employment, accessing healthcare, and finding safe, transitional housing, creating a foundation for lasting independence.

Grandma’s House of Hope’s holistic approach doesn’t stop when participants move into permanent housing. Through AfterCare services lasting up to two years, graduates continue to receive guidance, resources, and mentorship that help them maintain stability, strengthen resilience, and thrive. Many also join the Alumni Association, launched in 2025, which fosters community, peer support, and ongoing personal growth.
