Meet Jay. He went from a hospital bed to college classroom.

Jay’s comeback story starts here—and it’s only possible because of you.

Before 2020, Jay was a corporate manager.  Running meetings.  Wearing business clothes.  Living in his townhome.

Then the pandemic hit.  He got COVID—bad.  Hospitalized for weeks.

His job was gone.  Shortly after Jay was discharged, his home was gone.  His whole life felt like it had hit reset.

Then someone told Jay about Grandma’s House of Hope.  And just like that—he had a place to land.  A place to start over.

And, part of that was enrolling in college as a full-time student.

Because going from a hospital bed to a classroom seat takes more than just willpower.

Grandma's House of Hope connected Jay with the Department of Rehabilitation.

Together, we covered EVERYTHING—tuition, supplies, even the gear he needed for school.

No distractions.  No worries.  Just focus.

Jay is studying American Sign Language and Deaf Culture.  He's considering becoming an interpreter.  Jay has many deaf friends who have inspired him to pursue this field.

He's also learning Spanish and Stress Management. Because communication is power.  And peace of mind? Even more powerful.

Did you know?  Adults who return to school after trauma are 63% more likely to find stable employment within two years.

That stat? That’s not just a number. That’s Jay.

This place isn’t just four walls and a bed.  It’s a whole network of people who believe in what’s possible—even when you’ve lost everything.

It’s not just about having a roof over your head.  It’s about being seen, being supported, and being ready for what’s next.

And Jay is.

Every dollar you give helps someone rewrite their story—just like Jay is rewriting his.
